Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – Under the leadership of Ecclesia United International, a prayer meeting titled “Pennsylvania Stands with the Persecuted Church” was convened in Philadelphia. Priests and believers representing various denominations of the Christian Church in the city fervently participated in this significant event.
The ceremony, held at the PFGA Hall, was inaugurated by Glenn Thompson, US Congressman from Pennsylvania, who underscored the importance of unity and solidarity among Christians in supporting those facing persecution worldwide. Leading the prayers were Ukrainian Orthodox Church Philadelphia Bishop Rev. Lucas, Pastor Biju Mathew, and Pastor Nelson.
Distinguished speakers addressing the gathering included Rt. Bishop Rev. CV Mathew of the Evangelical Church, Father CB John Daniel, Republican Party leader Aaron Bashir, Sam Fadis, Pastor Joseph Bishop, Bill Allen, and Prof. Ala Pushtekha. Each speaker voiced deep concern over the escalating persecution of Christians, particularly in regions like Nigeria, India, and Pakistan.
Ecclesia United International President Bimal John presided over the event, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to standing in solidarity with persecuted believers globally. Stanley George, Vice Chairman of the International Committee, extended a warm welcome to attendees, while Communications Director Sam Thomas conveyed gratitude in his vote of thanks.
Adding a spiritual dimension to the gathering, the Ecclesia Music Team, led by Brother Devin, uplifted the atmosphere with soul-stirring hymns, creating a poignant backdrop for prayers and reflections.
