Philadelphia, PA – 2/20/2025 – Ecclesia United International is pleased to announce the election of Br. Paul Varkey as its new President. With a lifetime dedicated to theological education, pastoral care, and interdenominational ministry, Br. Paul brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to serving God’s people.
Br. Paul’s journey of faith and service began with a B.Sc in Chemistry from the University of Kerala in 1975. After working with GREF in Punjab, he responded to God’s call to ministry, pursuing theological education at ACTS in South Korea, where he earned his M.Div (1979-1983). He later completed his M.Th in Mission at SAIACS, Bangalore (1985-1987), equipping himself for a lifetime of impactful ministry.
Throughout his career, Br. Paul has served as a theological educator in institutions such as Beersheba Gospel Training Center (Punjab), India Bible Institute (New Delhi), and Jubilee Memorial Bible College (Chennai). Since moving to the United States in 1988, he has worked as a Respiratory Therapist while actively engaging in church leadership and interdenominational ministries. Additionally, for over a decade leading up to the pandemic, he faithfully served as a hospital Pastoral Care Volunteer, offering spiritual support to those in need.
Br. Paul and his family have witnessed God’s unwavering faithfulness through life’s challenges and triumphs. As he steps into this leadership role, Ecclesia United International is confident that his vision and dedication will further the organization’s mission.
