Philadelphia, PA – October 20, 2024 – In a heartfelt gesture of support for those affected by the ongoing violence and persecution of Christians in Manipur, Ecclesia United International provided relief assistance to the families still residing in relief camps. The aid was handed over by the organization’s Chief Executive Consultant and U.S. Congressional candidate from Pennsylvania, Aron Bashir, to Rev. Dr. Holkhosei , President International Love Ministries and Advisory board Member of Ecclesia United International at an event held at Mayura Indian Restaurant in Philadelphia. Rev. Dr. Holkhosei is scheduled to visit these relief camps in coming days.
The event saw the attendance of several Ecclesia United International leaders, including President Bimal John, Vice Chairman Stanley George, Youth Mission Director Dr. Alvin Joseph, Treasurer Benny Mathew Samuel, Ecclesia New Jersey Chapter President Pastor Mark Hoakip, and Advisory Board Members Paul Varkey and Pastor PC Chandi.
The ongoing Christian persecution in Manipur has displaced thousands, forcing many into prolonged stays in relief camps. Ecclesia United International’s initiative seeks to bring relief and hope to those affected while raising awareness of the grave human rights violations faced by Christians in the region.
